Nyonya Acar

 
 

Acar is a tradisional Malaysian cold dish made by pickling mixed vegetables in tangy sauce. Sweet, Sour & Spicy, a great appetizer in any occasion. With Heng's Melaka Nyonya Sauce, now you can serve this popular dish hassle-free!

Sauce:

    1 packet (200g) Heng's Melaka Nyonya Sauce

    40ml Vinegar

    3 tbsp Sugar

    25g Roasted Peanuts, crushed

    dash of Salt

    1.5 tbsp Torch Ginger Bud, Minced

 

Vegetables:

     150g Cabbage, cut into large pieces

     300g Cucumber, de-seed & cut into 1.5 inch length

     50g Carrot, cut into 1.5 inch length

     50g Long Beans or French Beans, cut into 1.5 inch length

     100g Pineapple, cut into chunks (Optional)

 

Roasted Sesame Seeds as garnish

 

 

Instruction:

    1. Put all the ingredients for sauce in a pot. Stir well & briefly heat until sugar

        dissolve.

    2. Add prepared vegetables, toss well.

    3. Transfer to a cleaner container, covered & keep in fridge over night.

    4. Garnish with Roasted Sesame Seeds & serve.
