A pancake is a flat cake, often thin and round, prepared from a starch-based batter that may contain eggs, milk and butter and cooked on a hot surface such as a griddle or frying pan, often frying with oil or butter. You will be sure to enjoy this time-cherished flavour with your family and friends!

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Heng’s Nyonya Kaya

Cooking Method:
1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. 
2. Make a well in the center, and pour in milk, egg and oil. Mix until smooth.
3. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. 
4. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. 
5. Brown on both sides and serve hot with apply Heng’s Nyonya Kaya.
